London Palestine Action is a network of people in London taking creative action against Israeli apartheid.

In November, we launched our Boycott Eurovision 2019 campaign with a beautiful, musical, glittery, rainbow-coloured, queer-led action outside Netta’s gig at the LGBTQ+ club, Heaven: https://bit.ly/2Bpx7ay

On Friday 8 February, the BBC will be broadcasting “Eurovision: You Decide”, a show to select the UK entrant. We’re gearing up for another action that evening to say: NO to culture-washing, NO to pinkwashing, and NO to Eurovision being hosted in Apartheid Israel!

Please join us at the Common House in Bethnal Green to help us get ready for the action. See below for venue accessibility information.

At the meeting, you'll learn more about LPA’s aims and values and about the wider Boycott Eurovision campaign. We'll finalise the plans for the protest and you’ll also have the chance to practise songs (pop faves and Eurovision hits rewritten with a BDS slant!), make colourful placards, and role-play leafletting and engaging passersby – but there’s no obligation to get involved in any of these activities!

Meanwhile, you can find out more about the Boycott Eurovision 2019 campaign here: https://bdsmovement.net/boycott-eurovision-2019

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
When we have open meetings, we try hard to be a welcoming and inclusive group. At the same time, we're clear about the kind of politics the group stands for.

If you're thinking of coming to the meeting, please first have a read of our principles here: https://bit.ly/2W5GJj4

We hope it's not intimidatingly long and are happy to answer questions and clarify anything that may be unclear. However, the basic positions are not up for debate - so if you disagree with them, LPA may not be the group for you!

*ACCESSIBILITY*
The Common House is located on the ground floor of an old textiles factory – there are no steps inside the Common House venue and the building is wheelchair accessible via the side door. Currently, the toilet is not wheelchair accessible. For more detailed accessibility information, see here: https://www.commonhouse.org.uk/book-the-common-house/accessibility-information/
